PAYDAY: Aces High launches November 5, 2026: price, platforms

PAYDAY: Aces High is a four-player co-op heist shooter set in the PAYDAY universe, made by Fast Travel Games under license from Starbreeze, the owner of the series (Fast Travel Games). It launches on November 5, 2026 on Meta Quest and Steam. This guide covers the price, which headsets can run it, how it fits into Meta Horizon+, the Steam discount for PAYDAY owners, the four crew roles, and who should buy it at launch.

PAYDAY: Aces High release date and launch time

The game comes out on November 5, 2026 on both the Meta Horizon Store and Steam (Fast Travel Games on Steam). The Meta Horizon Store lists the Quest version for November 5, 2026 at 7 AM PST, which is 10 AM EST and 3 PM UTC (Meta Horizon Store). That time moved earlier on November 2, 2026, from 10 AM PST, according to the store change log on the VRDB game page.

Fast Travel Games has not announced a PlayStation VR2 version. On October 26, 2026 it spoke of “a possible PS VR2 launch later” and gave no date (Fast Travel Games on Steam).

Price, Meta Horizon+ and the Steam loyalty discount

$24.99 on Quest and Steam

The price is $24.99 on both stores (Fast Travel Games on Steam, Meta Quest blog). On November 3, 2026 the Quest store page offered only a wishlist button, so VRDB will show the Quest price once the game goes on sale on November 5, 2026. Check the VRDB page on that day for the price in your currency and for any launch discount.

Included in Meta Horizon+ from day one

This is the detail that matters most for Quest owners. Meta says PAYDAY: Aces High joins the Meta Horizon+ Games Catalog on the day it launches, so subscribers can download it and play it on November 5, 2026. The same post gives the Horizon+ price as $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year and offers eligible members a free first month (Meta Quest blog, October 30, 2026).

Catalog games are not yours to keep. They stay playable only while you subscribe and while the game remains in the catalog, and Meta can remove a game from the catalog during your subscription (Meta Help Center, Meta Horizon+ Terms). VRDB keeps the current catalog on its Horizon+ page.

10% off on Steam for owners of earlier PAYDAY games

If your Steam account owns any of the three earlier PAYDAY games, you get 10% off Aces High on Steam from launch until December 31, 2026 (Fast Travel Games on Steam). That brings the $24.99 price down to about $22.49. The announcement mentions only Steam, so don’t expect the discount on the Meta Horizon Store.

A free heist for owners

On June 23, 2026, Fast Travel Games promised a brand new heist after launch, free for everyone who owns the base game, along with community challenges that unlock cosmetic rewards (Fast Travel Games on Steam). As of November 3, 2026, it had not given a release date for the heist. The Meta store listing also notes in-game purchases (VRDB). Fast Travel Games has not said what those will be.

Platforms: Quest 3, Quest 3S, PC VR and Steam Frame

  • Meta Quest: Quest 3 and Quest 3S only (Meta Quest blog, VRDB). Quest 2 and Quest Pro are not supported on the Meta Horizon Store.
  • Steam: the store lists Steam Frame, OpenXR headsets, Valve Index, Quest via Link and Rift S. The minimum PC is Windows 10 with an Intel i5-7500 or Ryzen 5 1600, 12 GB of RAM and a GTX 1060 or RX 580 with 6 GB of video memory (Steam). Quest 2 and Quest Pro owners with a capable PC can play this way.
  • Steam Frame: Fast Travel Games says the Steam Frame version is the same Steam product as the PC VR version, so one purchase covers both (Fast Travel Games on Steam). Road to VR reports that the Steam package includes a native Steam Frame build for standalone play (Road to VR).

The Quest listing is rated Mature 17+, needs an internet connection, and carries a Moderate comfort rating (VRDB). The game is in English only, on both the Quest listing (VRDB) and Steam (Steam).

Crossplay, co-op and solo play

Up to four players can team up online. The Steam page lists cross-platform multiplayer, and the Quest version is the only other version at launch, so a mixed crew of Quest and PC players should be able to share a heist (Steam). Steam also lists single-player. Fast Travel Games’ notes for its first closed playtest, which ran from August 20, 2026 to August 24, 2026, mention AI teammates (Fast Travel Games on Steam, playtest dates). So you can play without a full crew.

The four crew roles: Mastermind, Ghost, Technician and Enforcer

You play one of The Aces, a crew framed and jailed by business titan Warren Jupiter, and you get your revenge by robbing his banks, museums and penthouse (Steam). Each Ace has a skill focus (Fast Travel Games on Steam):

Ace Role Skill focus
Ace of Hearts The Mastermind Team morale, healing teammates, assault rifles, mobility
Ace of Clubs The Ghost Stealth, hacking, handguns
Ace of Diamonds The Technician SMGs and deployable gadgets
Ace of Spades The Enforcer Shotguns, grenades, explosives

Cash and reputation earned on jobs unlock more skills, weapons and gadgets, including a grapple and sentry guns (Steam).

Stealth or loud: how a heist plays out

Meta describes the loop this way: you scout the target, pick your gear, then either sneak in and out with the loot or go loud and fight your way out as the alarms ring (Meta Quest blog). Fast Travel Games frames the same choice through two of the Aces: “the stealthy Clubs way or guns blazing Spades way”. The Steam demo that ran from October 19, 2026 to October 26, 2026 held two heists from the full game, the Flowtrust Bank and a new Cosmopolitan Museum of Art job (Fast Travel Games on Steam).

On paper, a crew of four can split the work: the Ghost and the Mastermind lean toward quiet runs, while the Technician and the Enforcer are built for the fight if the alarm goes off.

The free Kitty Mask for demo players

Everyone who played the Steam Next Fest demo, open from October 19, 2026 to October 26, 2026, gets the Kitty Mask free in the full game at launch (Fast Travel Games on Steam). Meta’s open playtest on Quest 3 and 3S, announced on October 20, 2026 and open until October 26, 2026, also earns the mask (Meta Quest blog). If you missed both, the mask isn’t available this way.

Should you buy PAYDAY: Aces High at launch?

  • You subscribe to Meta Horizon+ and own a Quest 3 or 3S: play it from the catalog on November 5, 2026. Buy it only if you want to keep it after you cancel or after it leaves the catalog.
  • You own a Quest 3 or 3S and don’t subscribe: compare $24.99 with a month of Horizon+ at $7.99, or a free month if you are eligible. The subscription also includes two monthly games to claim and the rest of the catalog (Meta Help Center).
  • You play on PC VR or Steam Frame and own a PAYDAY game on Steam: buy before December 31, 2026 to get the 10% loyalty discount.
  • You own a Quest 2 or Quest Pro: the Quest version won’t run on your headset. Buy on Steam only if you can play through Link or Air Link on a capable PC.

Both stores give refunds within 14 days of purchase if you have played for less than two hours (Meta Help Center, Steam refunds).

More co-op shooters for your PAYDAY crew

If your crew wants more co-op once the heists are done, these Quest games support teams online. Prices are the Meta Horizon Store prices on VRDB on November 3, 2026.
